At the April 6, 2009 council meeting, Borough Council awarded the low bid to Wexcon Inc. for the replacement of approximately 800 linear feet of sewer interceptor on the north loop of the system near the wastewater treatment plant. Initial project award was in the amount of $114,547.50.

This project will replace the existing dual lines with one larger line to carry existing flow and reduce infiltration into the sewer system.

August 25, 2009 Update - As a result of this project, flows at the treatment plant have decreased by approximately 100,000 gallons a day!
